Symmetric versus Asymmetric Features of Homologous Homodimeric Amine Oxidases: When Water and Cavities Make the Difference

چکیده
Symmetry is an intrinsic property of homo-oligomers. Amine oxidases are multidomain homodimeric enzymes that contain one catalytic site per subunit, and share a high homology degree. In this paper, we investigated, by fluorescence spectroscopy measurements, the conformational dynamics resiliency in solutions two amine oxidases, from lentil seedlings, Euphorbia characias latex, which crystallographic structure still unknown. The data demonstrate slight but significant differences exist at level local tridimensional structure, arise presence large internal cavities, characterized different hydration extents. Molecular contact network methodology were also used to further explore, silico, structural features proteins. analysis demonstrates proteins show similar long-range symmetrical connectivities, they differ their (intra-subunit) networks, appear mostly asymmetric. These have been interpreted suggest new rationale for functioning amino as obligate homodimers.

Conceptual Versus Monolingual Scoring: When Does It Make a Difference?
PURPOSE This study evaluates the extent to which bilingual children produce the same or overlapping responses on tasks assessing semantic skills in each of their languages and whether classification analysis based on monolingual or conceptual scoring can accurately classify the semantic development of typically developing (TD) bilingual children. METHOD In Study 1, 55 TD children (ages 4;0 [y...
متن کاملWhen stopword lists make the difference
In this brief communication, we evaluate the use of two stopword lists for the English language (one comprising 571 words and another with 9) and compare them with a search approach accounting for all word forms. We show that through implementing the original Okapi form or certain ones derived from the Divergence from Randomness (DFR) paradigm, significantly lower performance levelsmay result w...
متن کاملInhibition of chickpea seedling copper amine oxidases by tetraethylenepentamine
Copper amine oxidases are important enzymes, which contribute to the regulation of mono- and polyamine levels. Each monomer contains one Cu(II) ion and 2,4,5-trihydroxyphenylalanine (TPQ) as cofactors. They catalyze the oxidative deamination of primary amines to aldehydes with a ping-pong mechanism consisting of a transamination. The mechanism is followed by the transfer of two electrons to mol...
